In many ways considered the pioneer of legislative lawsuit reform, Texas is also home to pioneers of liability expansion. Texas needs to stay on top of fixing misinterpretations of the law in order to have a competitive edge.

NERA Economic Consulting completed a study quantifying the economic impact of passing a bevy of lawsuit reforms. According to the report, passage of a complete package of lawsuit reforms could increase employment in Texas between 0.54 and 1.46%.
